On Monday 18 March 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, visited the New Zealand High Commission, as guests of Mr Llewellyn Roberts, Deputy High Commissioner, to sign a condolence book for victims of the Christchurch shootings.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of WGCDR Jason Brown, CO 2 SQN, visited the E-7A Wedgetail AEW&C aircraft and met with crew members at RAAF Fairbairn.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Duncan Lewis AO DSC CSC, Director-General of Security, attended ASIO’s 70th Anniversary reception at ASIO Headquarters.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Toowoomba Anglican College & Preparatory School, QLD; and Saint Stephen’s College, Oxenford, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
